Sister Cities Girlchoir presents their 2nd Annual Fundraiser Concert with featured performances by Broadway talent courtesy of Broadway Dreams. The Girlchoir is comprised of over 250 girls, ages 6-16, from West Philadelphia, Kensington, Northeast Philadelphia and Camden, NJ.

The concert celebrates the second year of the program that provides weekly, tuition-free musical training partnered with girl empowerment. The program includes songs from Venezuela, Ghana, and the American folk song canon beside Broadway favorites like “Seasons of Love.”

Sister Cities Girlchoir (SCG) is inspired by Venezuela’s music for social change program El Sistema. The girl empowerment choral academy employs musical study and the related benefits as youth development tool in communities in Philadelphia and Camden, NJ. SCG builds communities of music makers that empower girls to occupy their unique position in creating a better world.
